Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat

Madekwe is a child of the mixed race family of South London in England. Her mother and father were both English. She was raised in the South London Council Estate and attended The Brit School aged 14. It was the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art is where she obtained a BA degree in acting. She appeared on stage in several productions as a student including King Henry V, as Princess Katherine as well as Wuthering Heights, as Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe launched her acting career in the film Storm Damage. She has appeared as guest for Teachers Doctors Casualty Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's debut film appearance was in Woody Allen's 2007 Cassandra's Dream opposite Colin Farrell, Ewan McGregor. After that she was cast as Elisha in the single-episode BBC Three drama pilot West 10 LDN, and appeared in the six episodes of Trexx and Flipside as Ollie. In 2008, Madekwe landed Bambi, the lead role on ITV2's show Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe starred in the comedy film How to Lose Friends & Get People to Leave. Theatre credits for Madekwe include Little Sweet Thing and Flight Path.
Madekwe debuted in the US with The Beautiful Life. The drama series ran in the US on The CW for only two episodes, before it was cancelled. Ashley Davenport, a character on ABC's Revenge drama, was chosen for her as Ashley Davenport. After appearing on the show for the first two seasons it was announced in May 2013 that she would leave the show after a guest appearance in the pilot episode of the third season. From 2014 until 2016, she starred in Salem as Tituba. Madekwe married her actor partner Iddo goldberg on June 2012. They collaborated in the film Secret Diary of a Call Girl. He was also a part of the cast with Madekwe in Salem.

Ashley Leggat grew up in Hamilton Ontario with an extended family. Her parents Roy and Patty, as well as her brothers Brett, Todd, and Bram and Bram, were present. Ashley's athletic brothers played baseball during summers and hockey in the winter. Ashley didn't walk, instead she danced. In the age of two and a half, she was introduced to Baby Ballet. This was the beginning of Ashley's passion for dance. Ashley was a competitor in ballet, tap and jazz at the top divisions. Ashley was awarded the top soloist prize at each major dance event, such as International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance, to name just a few.
